Sarah

Hi all!

I’m a crazy, crafty, organized, sailor-talking momma of two (soon-to-be three). I grew up on a farm in southwest Iowa with my lovely parents and three sisters and met my honey during our college years and eventually landed in Minnesota. I’m an advertising project manager by trade, but now a stay-at-home momma with a passion for crafting, creating jewelry and getting my hands dirty outside. And, I always try to strive for perfection in everything I do – but have learned to let things go a bit.

I own a jewelry business, Sarah Vonne, in which I work one-on-one with brides-to-be to create that special sparkle for their big day! In addition, I sell at a few local boutiques and on Etsy.

Top Talents:

  • Designing and creating jewelry! – This is my true love and passion and believe it or not, I never had my ears pierced until I was 25! I just fell into this hobby of mine and made a small business out of it all.
  • Using a glue gun.
  • Composition of colors.
  • Multi-tasking.
  • Lifting heavy weights!  I’m a CrossFit member and LOVE IT! I think everyone should give this a try – it’s such a blast!

Top Non-Talents:

  • Cooking neatly – I love to cook and make messes! My kitchen is always a disaster while I’m cooking and I tend to keep making a mess until I am all done with the recipe. I am a “clean-up when you’re done” kinda girl.
  • Wearing high-heels – ever since having children, I’m a goddess of the flats. I am embracing my shortness and loving it! If I wear heels too long, I just complain – trust me, it’s not pretty.
  • Using carpentry tools.
  • Home decorating.

Also noteworthy …

When it comes to crafting and anything DIY – I love giving things a whirl, but sometimes need guidance on where to start. I admit – I call my mom ALL the time to confirm how I really run my sewing machine, how to make a favorite family recipe, etc. I have a hard time thinking that my kids will do the same to me someday and that is PRESSURE to do the best I can in all walks of life!
